Lawrence Nyasebwa Mafuru is a seasoned Certified Chartered Banker from the Chartered Institute of Bankers London and a Certified Financial Markets Dealer by ACI Financial Markets. He started his career at Standard Chartered Bank in 1998 in the area of International Trade Finance. 

Lawrence Nyasebwa Mafuru has varied experience in the industry over the last 19 years includes roles as Head of Treasury – National Bank of Commerce (NBC), CEO – National Bank of Commerce (NBC) and Chairman of the Tanzanian Bankers Association (TBA) and as Treasury Registrar at the ministry of finance. A noticeable figure and sought after speaker on matters related to banking and finance. Lawrence Nyasebwa Mafuru is passionate about driving client value through shared insights.

    – Providing day to day management of the Resources Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division
    – Coordinating and monitoring Key Performance indicators (KPI) in the Resource Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division
    – Monitoring KPI’s in Selected National Key Result Areas (NKRAs) of the Resource Mobilisation and Economic Sectors
    – Driving delivery of the top priorities in respective NKRAs of the Resources Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division 
    – Providing analytical support and recommendations to overcome key delivery challenges in Resource Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division and NKRAS
    – Organising and Conducting labs in the Key National Priority Areas for the Resources Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division
    – Undertaking annual evaluation of KPIs on NKRAs relating to Resource Mobilisation and Economic Sectors Division.
